How It All Started

Like all good stories, mine started with one of my friends saying: “We’ll get married if you do it, Meg.”
So naturally, I did what any reasonable friend with zero spare time would do and I enrolled in a Cert IV in Celebrancy. I figured it’d be a one-off thing marry my best mates, have a laugh, and move on with my life.
But apparently, the universe had other plans and realised I’d accidentally found something I actually love doing.
I mean, who wouldn’t want to outdo Katherine Heigl from 27 Dresses and work every single weekend?
So thats now why I spend my days helping couples tell their story their way, funny, real, heartfelt, and absolutely nothing like the boring traditional stuff you’ve sat through before.
I bloody love getting to know every couple and get the details on the juicy plot twists, the “we met on Tinder but told everyone it was mutual friends,” and the stories that make you both snort-laugh halfway through telling them.

But mostly, I just want to know you like a friend not as some random ticking boxes on a clipboard. Meeting your celebrant shouldn’t feel like a job interview or an awkward first date where you’re trying to say the “right” things.

The best stuff always happens when you’re relaxed, real, and maybe a little weird. That’s when the good stories come out the ones that make people laugh, cry, and know their wedding was tailored to them. That’s what I’m here for, helping you build a ceremony that’s totally, unapologetically you.

I’m also a huge fan of roping your mates or fam in to help tell your story. They already know the vibe, whether it’s sentimental, chaotic, or somewhere in between, and it makes everything feel effortless and authentic.

And let’s be real: having someone you actually like up there with you makes it way less awkward and way more fun.

Making Your Ceremony Totally You

More Than just a Celebrant - My story

A young child sitting in a stuffed animal chair wearing overalls, a white shirt, a white headband, and holding a small toy or candy, with a curious expression and finger near the mouth.
A young girl with blue eyes wearing a straw hat with ribbons, holding a tabby kitten with striped fur and green eyes.
An infant girl lying on a white crocheted blanket, wearing a pink lace jacket, matching bonnet, cream pants, and socks.

Some people stumble onto their calling. I tripped over mine, face-first, in the most unexpected way.
What started as a half-serious joke about me officiating one of my bestie’s weddings quickly spiralled from “oh hell, are we actually doing this?” to “bro, we are actually doing this.”
Fast-forward to the big day: my first ceremony. I’m standing there (internally panicking) in front of a sea of teary-eyed guests, gripping the microphone while the bride’s four-year-old drops a perfectly timed swear word. It was equal parts emotional, chaotic, heartfelt, and absolutely hilarious.
Somewhere between laughter and tears, my brain flashed back to the night she met her now-husband, the fountain jump, the security guards, the dripping-wet exit. Honestly, it’s a miracle they survived that night… and here I was, about to make them husband and wife.
Right then I realised: this is what it’s meant to feel like. Not just paperwork and legal lines but pure joy, and the best kind of love-filled madness. So, somewhere between the vows and the stories I thought, well, shit I think I’m going to be a wedding celebrant now
I love creating ceremonies that are real, fun, and full of those perfectly imperfect moments that actually feel like you. I’ll handle the boring legal stuff, crack the occasional joke, and ensure the tone is set to have the absolute best day.

Let’s make your day as unexpectedly awesome as the way I ended up in this wild, wonderful world of weddings.
